01Challenges
As there was no centralized resources security administration, client had a vision to implement a directory service in its environment to achieve multiple benefits such as Centralized resources security administration, Single login for access to global resources and Simplified resource location.
02Solutions
We implement Domain Controllers on Azure and establish site-to-site VPN tunnels with all on-premises locations. Defined Group Policies are implemented and tested on client machines. Azure AD Connect and synchronize AD DS objects with Azure AD to achieve single sign-on. ProfWiz tool is used for migrating all workgroup machines to domains with user profiles.
03Impact
Successful migration of end user machines along with user’s profile migration and remaining machines after successful pilot migrations by configuring ProfWiz tool based on the environment-specific parameters. And achieved Centralized resources & security administration, Single login for access to global resources (including Office 365 services), and Simplified resource location – File and Print
